BioLab Peptide Supply
BioLab Peptide Supply is an online tool created for the scientific community and laboratory compounds supplier to offer high purity research peptides and laboratory compounds.
The project objective was to develop a platform that was scalable, easy to use and scientifically organized, with users able to move to the easy-to-navigate ordering process and easily browse available research compounds, dosages, and complete their purchase within a single virtual space.
How the Platform Simplified Research Product Purchasing
The Challenge
The challenges faced by the development team while building the platform are as follows:
- Managing a large catalog of research peptides and laboratory compounds while ensuring products remained easy to discover and navigate. Scientific naming conventions and technical classifications often made it difficult for researchers to quickly locate the exact compounds they required.
- Providing practical scientific tools beyond standard eCommerce functionality, while simplifying the purchasing process for technical products. The platform also needed to increase average order value, support affiliate-driven growth, and clearly communicate research-use compliance requirements throughout the purchasing journey.
Our Approach
To address these challenges and build the platform, we followed the following approaches:
- Firstly, we developed a structured peptide catalog with category-based navigation, detailed product pages, and organized compound classifications. This significantly improved product discoverability and allowed researchers to browse available compounds more efficiently.
- To further enhance the user experience, we integrated a custom peptide dosage calculator directly into the platform, enabling researchers to quickly calculate dosage requirements and research measurements without relying on external tools. We also implemented bundled product offerings and related compound packages to encourage higher-value purchases while improving convenience for customers.
- Additionally, an affiliate marketing system was introduced to support referral-based growth, while dedicated compliance pages and research-use disclaimers ensured transparent communication regarding product usage guidelines.
