Challenge
The challenges faced by the development team while building the platform are as follows:
- Detecting resume fraud, fake experience, and manipulated portfolios. Traditional background checks were slow, expensive, and could not reliably verify a candidate's real skills or work history.
- Handling deepfake and identity risks during live video interviews, while managing sensitive candidate data in full compliance with GDPR and CCPA, and keeping blockchain verification costs low enough for enterprise use.
Approach
To address the challenges and build the platform, we followed the following approaches:
- Firstly, we built an AI-powered skill validation engine that processes data from GitHub repositories, portfolio projects, coding sessions, and uploaded work samples. This created a verified Skill Fingerprint for each candidate, replacing slow manual reviews with near real-time skill authentication.
- To address the second challenge, we developed a video interview intelligence engine that performs deepfake detection, facial matching, and speech and communication analysis during live interviews. We paired this with a WebAssembly privacy layer, built in Rust, that processes sensitive data such as facial recognition directly inside the browser before any transmission. Verified skills and certifications were then stored as blockchain-backed Soulbound Tokens on Polygon, letting employers check credentials in seconds without third-party background companies.

Structure/Layout
The candidate provides data through resumes, portfolios, and live video interviews, whereas the platform singlehandedly controls the whole verification process. It analyzes skills, detects fraud and deepfakes, validates identity, and stores verified credentials on the blockchain, all while keeping sensitive data processing on the candidate's own device.

AI Resume Authenticator makes hiring fast, secure, and trustworthy. We created a wireframe to show how we wanted to visually tell the story of the platform. The design has a clean, modern look, straightforward dashboards, and easy-to-use verification tools that give recruiters clear visibility into every candidate at a glance.
